A BRIEF BIO-DATA OF CHIEF (DR.) HAMMED A AYODELE IBRAHEEM, MD

Chief (Dr.) Hammed Ayodele Ibraheem, MD was born in the Lagos Island (Isale Eko) on the 25^th of October 1945. He is genealogically of the stock and root of the Ibraheem royal lineage of the Bashua Chieftaincy family of Lagos. The Bashua Chieftaincy family's ancestral home is situated at the Idunmoyinbo, a place historically reputed to be the first place where the European ship first landed in the Lagos Kingdom. Oral account of the Origin of the family indicates that the first Obashua of Lagos, Odu was a native of Isheri and therefore an Awori man who used to come from a village initially known by the man's name (Bashua Village). But today known as Shomolu.

Chief (Dr.) Ibraheem's mother was one of the children of the eminent and now legendary Jubril Martins, the popular Muslim Lawyer and one of the councilors of the Lagos Town council, elected on the platform of the Nigerian Youth Movement. He was noted for his opposition to the colonial authority's imposition of crematorium in Lagos. Jubril Martins later rose to become the president of Ahmadiyyah movement of Nigeria, the foremost Muslim organization that pivoted the propagation of Western Education among Muslims in Nigeria. He was also the first chairman of the Western Region Muslim Pilgrims` Welfare Board, a post he held till his death in 1959.

This is the background from which the Chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD descended and from which he caught the burning passion for tireless pursuit of educational and intellectual advancement. The young chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD after his early Koranic education, proceeded to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, Okepopo, from 1951 to 1959 with the likes of Professor Lateef Hussain, Professor Hakeem Danmole and a host of other prominent Lagosians. The eminent and distinguished professor Olorunnibe Adedipe was prominent senior student in the same school. Armed with the First School Leaving Certificate, the ebullient and promising Chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD proceeded to Ago-Iwoye Secondary School, Ago Iwoye, now in Ogun State where he distinguished himself by graduating in Grade 1. That is, over-all distinction. The passion for higher education drove him to enroll at Federal School of Science, Onikan, Lagos (1966 to 1968), for his GCE “A” Level Certificate. He left the shores of Nigeria in 1968 to United States of America to effectively pursue and to actualize his desired career in the Health and Medical Sciences. He earned his pre-medical degree from the University of Chicago in 1970 and thereafter proceeded to higher medical education to specialize in Chemical Biochemistry, Botanical Medicine and Alternative Medicine. He earned the ultimate degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Chicago, Urbana in 1973 specializing in chemical biochemistry. The chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD is a fellow of the American College of Tropical Medicine. Some of his research publications are influential in the field of Auto-Immunotherapy in the treatment of pathological diseases. He is an affiliated research team member of the Columbia University Infections Diseases Control Centre, New York, USA.

The Chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD, has been in medical practice in the United States of America for over fifty years. He established the Ibile Diagnostic Centre in 1974 in the city of Phoenix, Arizona and has extended his medical expertise to other nations of the earth, such as in the city of Geneva, Switzerland, Headquarters of Europe’s United Nations and the Red Cross operation and in Lima, the capital city of Peru.

The eminent Chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD is married to Chief (Mrs.) B.A. Ibraheem, a successful matron who has also practiced with her husband in the United States of America for over four decades. He is also married to Mrs. Rebecca Olubusayo Ibraheem, a trained nurse.

Chief (Dr.) Ayodele Ibraheem, MD, is the father to three sons and two daughters; all of whom are resident in the United State of America. His first son, Dr. Musibau Abiodun Ibraheem, MD, has been in active medical practice in the United States of America for over two decades. Dr. Musibau Ibraheem graduated from the Debrecen Orvostudomanyi Egyetem, University of Debrecen, Hungary in 1992. He works in Decatur, GA and specializes in Family Medicine. Dr. Ibraheem is affiliated with DeKalb Medical Center at North Decatur and Gady Health System. He is a fellow of the American Board of Family Medicine, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

His second son, Dr. Monsuru Ibraheem is also a medical practitioner in the United States of America. Dr. Ibraheem received his medical degree from University of Debrecen Medical and Health Science Center 1999 and has been in practice for about 20 years. He is an internist in Las Vegas, Nevada and is affiliated to multiple hospitals in the area, including Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center and Mountain View Hospital.

The third son, Mr. Al-Rahman Ibraheem is a trained pilot. First Flight Officer and Captain with the world famous Lufthansa Airlines. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Skyview Airline in the USA.

His two promising daughters; Zainab Ibraheem and Maryam Ibraheem are in the United States of America pursuing levels of education appropriate to their desired career. Chief (Dr.) Ibraheem is a member of the prestigious EKO CLUB. His life ambition is unstinting and unsparing promotion of medical and health science education in Nigeria. This desire, spanning back to 1990. When there was no indication of the establishment of Private University enterprise in Nigeria, finally came to maturation with the establishment of the Eko University of Medicine and Health Sciences. Chief (Dr.) Ibraheem is determined to pioneer a medical school that offers a first class medical training.
